plant you can count on

sometime we think of nature as a wild messy tangle of branches and vines. But nature can be pretty neat and tidy growing in  all kinds of matching shapes and  patterns. we're  loving tis geometric  plants webpage sent by Derrick schnider  of GeekDad  with photos of pants that fold and fold so show the same design  over and over. Some  have symmetry down the  milder meaning the left  side look the same as the right  other have rotational symmetry  meaning that  if you  spin them parkway around they look the same aa when you started. We also see cool  math in the number  of petals on these flowers or the number  of veins in a leaf. Read to find out what numbers  show up the most and why. How many points does the  star in midair of the green aloe plant have see if you can count them 5 points. The lily pad has 8 big vines (lines) shooting out from the middle.   If 1/2 of them are on the left  an 1/2 are on each side  4vins on each  side. If  you poke the 1st vein than the 3rd vein then 5th which vein should you poke next the 7th vein. 5 and 8 are both flbonaci numbers where you make each number  before it The first few number 1 1 2 3 5 8 what are next 2 number 13 (https://www.boredpanda.com/geometry-symnature/with is  5+8) and  21 (which is 8+13) Sunflowers always have a fibonacci number  of petals If  a sunflower has between  40 and 60 petals how many does it have to have. 55 with comes after 21and 34. The  next fibonacci number  after that is to 89 and than you derick for sharing this math in nature  with us. from called bedtime math   .https://www.boredpanda.com/geometry-symmetry-plants-nature/
