October hiking
up in the morning
before the red sun
there mush hearty hiking
that calls to be done
there are mountain trails begging
a hiker strong heel
we'll cook a are male
October red oak leaves
will furnish the fire
the smoke fishing skyward
will from a tall spire
we'll look the north
and from our glad throats
a song will come forth
In October's fine weather
the high hilltops call
the haver reached their great moment
In the pageant of fall
we must no delay
October rare weather
lasts just for a day.
so up in with the sun
and race with the sun
at twilight let's price that
a great hour is done
a hike to the hilltops
a hike to the sky
while October red grander
slowly drifts by.

pumpkin art
for its month long 2013 fast ocean park theme park in honk kong exhibited the worlds largest collection of pickled pumpkins sculptures more than 400 spooky designs created by master carvers ray vilafane and Andy Bergholtz The centerpiece was a grotesque more than 1,000 454kg. which had been specially handpicked by ray in the USA Using just spoon and scalpels ray and his team spent hours on each sculptures before the finished pumpkins were immersed in vinegar to preserve them for visitors to enjoy. Andy cuts away the skin of the pumpkin before getting las work using just a scalpel and a spoon.when looking for a good pumping to carve ray selects the meatiest I also like a pumpkin with characters one with knobbly ridges is good so that can utilize that in the carving process like sculpting noses. However because the process is unpredictable he can never be sure whether the texture or flesh color will be ideal for sculpting until he actually starts carving ray uses the natural texture in the pumpkins flesh to work on his design's features. ray previous lifelike pumpkin sculptures have included gorillas clowns birds and actor Johnny Deep He be began carving pumpkin one day to entertain his art students at school when he lived in bell air Michigan Sculpting has always been my passion he says but most importantly the kids at school absolutely loved them for days after that there would be a dozen pumpkins sitting on my desk waiting for me to carve them. The finished design are dipped in vinegar to preserve them. from called book Ripley believe it or not
