turtle tears

 This yellow spotted river turtle in the western  Amazonian rain forest is being mobbed by butterflies that have come to drink its tears. In a region where salt is rare the turtles  have a plentiful  supply of the vital mineral sodium though their diet  prompting dozens of butterflies to flutter around the reptiles heads for a fortifying  drink if no turtles  are around the butterflies will get their are salt fix from animal ruine or sweaty humans. The pups feed on their mothers milk they stay ashore while the mother return  to the sea to catch food. within  tow or three weeks the pups can swim and dive. sea lion pups may feed on  their mother 's milk for up to one year. male southern  elephant  seals roar and fight rivals  on the beach winners get to mate with females. from called book wild about oceans
