cracked up

Tourists smashed sledgehammers into the glass panels of the world's longest  and tallest glass bottomed bridge to demonstrate  its safety! The bridge spans 1,411 ft (430m) across the Zhangjijie grand canyon in china and hangs 984ft (300m) aboveground  it is lied wirth large panels of glass that tourists can walk across to reach the opposite  side of the canyon. Every panel is made up of there  layers of glass each 0.6 in (15.2mm) thick even with sledgehammers no one was able to break through more than just the  top layer! a 4,409-bl (2,000-kg) car with 11passenger was driven over the fractured glass  to prove that the bridge is stable even when  cracked. Thirty people tried and  failed to bust through  and entire panel .
