highest jump by a dolphin

The bottlenose dolphin (tursiops truncatus ) named  for is stubby beak can make leaps as high as 26ft (8m) above  the  surface  of the water. The reason  that  dolphins  jump in  the wild  is debated but may be  to do with  saving  energy  cleaning  themselves  locating  prey communicating  with their  pod or even just for  fun.
