during a yearly thaipusam  festival  of  the  god shiva (or murugan) in kuala  lumpur  malaysia  devotees  celebrate inside the  batu caves  which contain ornate shrines. Along with  piercing  their bodies with  metal skewers worshipper carry pots of milk as and offering on their  heads a few kilometers and up  a steep brightly painted flight of 272 step and into the  cave system . devotees climb 272 steps to reach the temple.for called ripley believe it or not.
