popping bubbles

 when keepers at the Edinburghs zoo  turn on the  bubble blowing machine in the  penguin enclosure dozens of  penguins immediately waddle over to investigate. It almost live a traffic jam of penguins  keeper Kirsty Leighton says. seeing the  shiny bubble trigggers  their  natural  hunting respsponse . That   because the bubble  resemble small  shimmering fish the penguins would hunt in the wild  it their subantarctic rage realizing  that the bubbles aren't food  dent seem to upset the birds They  can't  get enough of watching  the bubble  float and then trying to pop them  with their  them  with their beaks leighton say sometime the pegs in the ground get  so excited they make a noise called an ecstatic bray which is similar to  the sound  a donkey  make. The penguin  at the edinburgh zoo  get other enrichment too. The  birds can lounge on floating platforms  similar to how pengnuin in the wide rest on ice they can also whoosh down a waterslide for fun and exercise. still chasing  bubbles is  the most popular activity  with the penguins.
