summer divers at griuner see (green lake) in styria  austria find things they would not expect at the bottom  of most lakes such  as grassy  meadows flowerbeds paved paths benches and bridge. In winter lake only 6 1/2 ft(2m) deep and the surrounding a country park but in spring snow on the mountain  melts, causing the whole area to fill with melt water. by summer the lake is 40 ft (12m) deep and the park is submerged.  The  underwater grass and foliage make  the  water paper a beautiful emerald  green giving the lake in name.
