solitary life

Maxime Qavtaradze a 60 -year old monk has lived  in solitude at the top of the 131 -ft-high (40-m) Katskhi pillar in georgia  for more than 20-year and  has to have food winched up to him by his followers. He leaves the limestone pillar only twice a week to pray a precarious  ladder decent that take him 20 minutes. Luckily as former crane drive he has a hand  for  heights. When he first move in the accommodation was so basic that the  had to sleep in an old fridge.
