Visitors to beach in Qingdao China in 2013 romped in thousands of tons of thick green algae  luckily the algae  Enteromporpha proliferation or  sea  lettuce  is harmless edible and  in nutrients  that  are said to improve skin and lower  blood pressure even so 20, 000 tons of the algae   were  removed in just a few day because if left to  decompose and rot it could  produole large amounts of highly toxic hydrogen sulfide gas. It is not the first time the  beach has suffered a  green  invasion.
