strike it unlucky





thankfully not many of us can say we 
ve been struck by lightning based on data from the usa national oceanic and atmospheric  administration (nota) the odds of being hit are 12,000 to one rising to 1,000,000 to one in a given year . is the extraordinary case of roy sullivan above from viginia  usa who holds the record for most lightning strikes surveyed  no less than seven is enough to baffle any statisistuctician see 204-05 for other unlikely  survivors . A ranger based at shenandoah  national park in the blue ridge mountains his first electrifying  encounter  took  place in apr1942.while fleeing from a watchtower that had been  set  ablaze during a thunderstorm  sultivan's  right  leg received  a direct bolt  of  several  million volt leaving a scorch make and obliteration the nail  his big toe little did he know that this was just the  begging of an ongoing battle with mother nature.  one the next 35 year six further strikes left their make similar to  the scars right. These  wicked cine to earn roy the nickname spark ranger. jul 1969 eyebrow burns and wristwatch destroyed while driving jul 1970 lift shoulder seeard while in his garden apr 1972 hair set on fire while in a guardhouse at work . aug 1973  hair set on fire again and legs heard while in vehicle. jun 1976 ankle ijured while walking. jun 1977 chest and stomach burned while fishing on boat and tragically royself inflicted  gunshot wound in 1983 aged 71.
