armistice day

It was the 11th hour on the 11th day of 11th month. And  on  such a profound period  in time in 1918 an even more epic moment occurred. The armistice -an  agreement marking the  end  four year of fighting in the first world war- began . 1oo  year have passed since representatives  from both sides agreed to end the great war with a stroke of a pen inside a railway carriage parked in remote forest  north of paris farnce. The armistice outlined specific rules to  ensure that  germany  would not restart the war with the allis-mede up of the births empire  france belgium russia  and the use  germany in particular  had to give up thousand os weapons airplanes and submarines and  disarm warship. The also had to turn over any prisoners of war they  were holding and disclose details on minet ds and traps they'd set  during the war. While the signing of the treaty  of versailles half year later officially ended would war I this agreement  halted the bloodshed and essentially forced germany  to take blame for world war I. germany was assigned to pay reparation or war debt to cove the damage caused over those four years of fighting . It took some 92 years for germany to off whopping bill which hovered around $402 billion it today money . Today we hone artistic  day -also known as veterans day or remembrance  day on november 11of every year. It a time to reflect on world war  I and all wars to follow ensuring that those who make the ultimate sacrifice for their country -and for peace through the world will never be forgotten. 100th anniversary.
