For the  biggest ride of year  life can't beat the the Singapore Flyer. As of 2010, it holds the title as the world,s largest giant observation wheel (what we call  a Ferris Wheel)  it,s named after the country where it located  -singapore  and island nation is southeast   Asia. Each of 28 air-conditioned  capsules is as big as  a city bus  and holds 28 passengers.The singapore  flyer  rises 541 feet (165m) -as tall a 42-stiry  building. The wheel,s diameter is 494ft (150m). It takes about 30minutes for the wheel to go around once!rides on the flyer get a spectacular 360- degree view of singapore  Marina bay .The first ferris wheel was 264 feet (80m) high . An american bridge builder george  washington gale ferris jr., designed the original ride in 1893 for the world's fair in chicago lilnonis. When  ferris announced his plan to build it skeptics laughed calling him the man who has wheels in head But the ferris wheel was huge success. it  had 36 cars each holding up to 60 people and took 20 minutes to go around twice. The cost of a ticket; 50 cents!
