oldest national park

yellowstone  national park stated primarily in the state of  wyoming usa  was designated on 1 mar 1872 by president ulysses s grant. The  park is home to more than 10'000 geothermal features  such as springs mudpost  and fumeroles (opening in the grand prismatic spring the natural gases.) pictured is the grand  prismatic spring the usa largest  hot spring as beautiful  as they are it worth bearing in mind that all these phenomena are after fueled by a supervolcano lurking underground which after 640,000 years of dormancy is overdue an eruption according to unesco yellowstone  plays host to the largest concoentration  of geysers with more than 3000, including old faithful  inset above .
