volcano blues

The lava at Indonesia's Kawah  Ijen  Volcano appears to glow bright blue at night.  During the day Kawah  Ijen  looks like a typical  volcano but  when the sun  goes  down  it becomes dark  enough to witness the blue flames caused by  high levels  of sulfuric gas combusting  when it touches the air surrounding  the lava the reaction causing  air temperatures to  skyrockets to  680''f (360''c) or more.  Once  the lava and sulfur  have mixed cooled and hardened into yellow rock workers brave the heat and fumes to collect the yellow rock to sell down the mountain. hot lava. form a book called ripley believe it or not
