Dutch with Enzo  Kroon come up  with  a  novel way  of recycling old egg cartons-he uses them as canvases for his paintings and sells them for around $1,000 each. The lumpy shape of the cartons makes the resulting paintings  change shape  according to the angle from which you  view them. Enno who is inspired by famous early 20th - century cubist Artists such as Picasso has Dudded  His creation eggcubism. The painting  often  look  best when viewed from  a strange angle not straight on like a regular tow-dimensional painting Enno ,s intention is that his egg  cartons reveal different faces that seem to follow the viewer around the room. Enno uses acrylic paints on regular cardboard egg boxes ,using the dimpled surface to  help give  his charters  expression. as  well as portraits Enno  paints  still life pictures such as  this bowl  of fruit onto his egg cartons.The face appears only  the egg tray is viewed at a particular agnle  Enno,s unconventional  style means that the painting are distorted when viewed head on.  The egg cartons reveal faces from several different perspectives. Why did you start using egg carton for your art. The egg cartons had been lying around  my studio for some time  ready to be  painted  but   it took  some courage before i could take the plunge i,ve always played with distortion  of perspective which  puts the viewer on the wrong foot. What do you like about  using egg  cartons instead of regular canvas. As painter i consider egg cartons at two- and  a half dimensional objects that of  the of egg cartons possibilities. The waves of egg cartons linit the viewer  perception   they also make him aware of  his positioning  toward  the image. The  egg boxes create  problems that require a new  approach  by  the  painter which in turns the viewer to take new approach to looking  at the art. What kind of ruction  have you  had to your  work. The  reactions are  amazing  I get worldwide attention. They seem  to focus on the recycling art aspect now  to  which l seem to give an extra dimension. As for sales do  a lot my works they provide me my income now. One  carman art  collector has bought 36 of eggcubibism  pieces. form a book called ripley believe it or not.
