Jupiter the fifth plant from the sun is the largest plant in our solar system. Jupiter is so big that if it were a hollow ball more than 1,000 plants the size of the Earth could easily fit inside it. Jupiter is about 400 million miles from the sun. It takes Jupiter about tweleve Earth years to orbit the sun once. This giant plant is a ball of gases and liquid. Colorful clouds make up outer atmosphere. These could are pushed by strong winds that can blow as hard as 4000 miles an hour. That's much more forceful than the worst hurricanes to Earth. has sixty- four moon though scientists are still evaluating recent discoveries and that number may change. The four largest moon are named Id Europa Ganymede and Callisto. Io has active volcanos. In fact, it has even more volcanic activity than the Earth. Europa is covered with ice. Many scientists believe that this layer of frozen water is core than 60 miles thick in some places. Callisto has more crater than any other moon in our system Ganymede is Jupiter largest moon. It is even bigger than the plant Mercury. Much that we know about Jupiter has come from unmanned space probes. In 1973, pioneer 10 flew within 81,000 miles of Jupiter cloud tops. 1 flew by Jupiter in 1979 and the spacecraft Galileo began orbit Jupiter in late 1995 sending back beautiful and detailed images of the plant until if finished its orbit in 2003. Scientist believe that studying Jupiter and its moon may help us lean more about the early history of the Earth The better we understand others planets in universe the better we will understand and appreciate our own plant.
