on October 5 2007 Travis Pastrana  successfully  completed the world's first barge  to barge motorcycle backfield over the Thames River in  London England. The  action  sport  icon and nitro  circus  ringleader battled  high winds and rough  waters as  he flew  between  the two vessels  with the iconic o2 arena rising in the  backgrounders. The stunt was attempted once  before in Los Angeles by someone else in 2006 but unfortunately ended in a crash.
