shifting sand

for the first time living memory  porthleven  beach in cornwall, England was stripped of all its sand overnight by a severer  high tide on January  21, 2015 Equally remarkable  however   was naturally  restored back to the beach only a few hours later.  A  faveodte vacation destination visiting cormwall, the usually location turned into a beach covered in jagged rocks and seaweed. These images show promenade steps leading down to the sandy beach  before the high the (left) and after the high tide (right) with the steps leaning to sharp drop onto rocks.
